James 1:12 (NIV) “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”
Recently I was reading the book of Exodus and before I got very far into the reading God spoke to me. The children of Israel were feared and oppressed because they were fruitful and abundant in number. The Israelites were considered a mighty people, so the Pharaoh was afraid that they would use their strength to rise against him. The Pharaoh enslaved the Israelites and afflicted them, but they continued to grow in size. The Israelites multiplied in number despite their oppression. We can resemble the Israelites in our way of thinking by choosing to always think beyond our circumstances. In difficult situations our minds can either become a prison for us or a realm of unlimited opportunity. Choose to persevere today by relying on and trusting God to deliver you from whatever situation you may be dealing with. Jesus loves us and will promote us in all areas of our lives, but most importantly by the renewing of our Minds. Have faith and continue to persevere! -
